Modells Swagway Hoverboard Recall
Modells' is choosing not to do anything about the current recall of the Swagway hoverboards they sold. They made a profit from each sale and now there answer to this problem is to say, "Call Swagway."
Swagway wants the customer to send in the hoverboard so they can change a battery. This is not the entire problem. The problem is with the design. This is unacceptable.
I will never shop at Modells and look forward to the day when I hear that they and Swagway go out of business.
Modells, take a page from Amazon and treat your customers like you care about them!
They refunded every customer all of their money to rectify this problem.

I ordered a hoverboard from Modell's last week. My item was supposed to be shipped today, however I was informed at 8:00 last night that a signature was required.
I contacted Fedex who led me to Modell's because they could switch the address for me so I could receive the item - which was absolutely no help. Anytime I have purchased items and a signature was required I was always informed before shipping so I could arrange for the item to be shipped at a location where someone would be present. Customer service was basically saying "Well that's just how it is, and we aren't going to go out of our way to help you at all."
This whole issue could have been resolved easily. I am at work and the customer service rep could have simply called Fedex and asked to ship to this address.
If your going to have a statement showing " willing to go that extra step to guarantee complete customer satisfaction" then a good start would be to do the small things that make a difference. I have never ordered from Modell's before - but I won't now ever again.
Managers at Ozone Park location are rude.

I brought a pair of underarmour sweats and a Jordan shirt , when I returned i needed a different size, mind you this was all in the same day literally 4 hours later to return to the store and be fronted by 2 inconsiderate cashiers informing me that unless I have a receipt I cannot return the item not even for a refund. All I wanted was a different size so I called the manager and as he was walking over he was shaking his head and as he stood in front of me he said normally I would not do this without a receipt and if I don't iam the bad guy so I will do it this time like he is doing me a favor after spending 80 on clothes he has the balls to say next time I will not be so nice, and I said well don't worry last time I buy anything in this places location is modells on south Ave in Staten Island.
It's called customer service modells really needs to send their employees to charm school and how to treat customers especially when I was the only customer in the store, modells needs all the customers they can get m, but one thing is for sure looks like *** sporting goods is where I'll be headed. Thanks for nothing

Will Not let Me return Swagway.....
It seems Modell's has no problem selling defective items but will not let you return them for the same item or you $$ back... Obviously they do not back up the products sold in their stores.
I suggest anyone that has the same problem I do with their Swagway purchase at Modell's to post it here and let's all file a class action lawsuit AGAINST SWAGWAY AND MODELL'S!! One of the reason's I bought it at Modell's was so if there was something wrong I could return it... Modell's took my $$ and sold me a defective Swagway... They should return me my $$ and they can deal with their vendor...
Why should I have to... Swagway will not even get back to me, so now my son is stuck without a XMAS present and I am out over $400 bucks???
